Make The World Better Partnership
Little City is excited to partner with Make The World Better to support public park revitalization in Philadelphia. Our goal at Little City is to create a community of students, families and staff who truly care for each other and their neighborhood. We do so with a Montessori in Motion philosophy, focused on getting children to be healthy, active and engaged. With this in mind, we could not imagine a better partner than MTWB!
Make The World Better believes community-based redevelopment projects have a unique ability to strengthen neighborhoods by creating a sense of ownership over public spaces. They engage residents in all phases of a project, from concept to construction to ongoing programming and upkeep. MTWB designs with and for the community.
Orianna Street Garden Project
Little City is joining our neighbors in South Kensington to start the Orianna Street Garden. We are so excited to support the project in the early stages so we can be involved in planning, fundraising, and of course planting the next crop!
Ukraine Fundraiser
We are so thankful to this community and the incredible response to the World Central Kitchen Fundraiser to help support humanitarian efforts in Ukraine. We met our original fundraising goal of $5k within 24 hours and together we have now raised over $25k, which includes a $5k contribution from Little City. World Central Kitchen is on the ground providing thousands of fresh, warm meals to families in Ukraine and those fleeing their homes. They serve over 300,000 meals each day in over 90 cities and towns in Ukraine.
